Outdated gambling laws lead to laughable fines

KUALA LUMPUR: Outdated gambling laws have led the Home Ministry to charge kingpins under the Prevention of Crime Act 1959 (Poca).

Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar (pic) said the Common Gaming House Act 1953, Pool Betting Act 1964 and Lotteries Act 1952 sorely need to be  amended.
