Sarawak must do more to assist people relocated by dam projects, says Masing

KUCHING: A senior Sarawak minister has admitted that the state has not done a good enough job in relocating people affected by its dam projects.

“People who are affected must not be neglected and treated like second class citizens. Sarawak unfortunately doesn’t have a good track record on people who have been affected by hydroelectric plants. This, we must remedy,” said State Land Development Minister Tan Sri Dr James Masing on Tuesday.
