GEORGE TOWN: The Penang government has urged the Attorney-General Chambers to tender a statement of impact to the Penang High Court so that a stiffer punishment could be meted out to the 16 men who barged into the state assembly last year.
State Housing, Town and Country Planning Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said the statement would enable the court to see the seriousness of the offence for it to mete out a stiffer sentence.
