Finance Ministry: 1MDB did not obtain falsified documents from Singapore-based Swiss bank

KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has dismissed allegations that 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) had obtained "false" financial documents from Singapore-based branch of Swiss bank, BSI Bank.

"Your statement suggesting that (1MDB) chief executive officer Arul Kanda Kandasamy obtained financial statements that do not originate from BSI is not true," said the Finance Ministry in a one-line written reply to Datuk Mohd Ariff Sabri Abdul Aziz (DAP-Raub).
