KOTA KINABALU: The Government should lower the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for businesses in Sabah and Sarawak as a way to make the costs of goods more uniform with those in the peninsula, said the Federation of Sabah Manufacturers.
“If the prices of goods and services cannot be uniform throughout Malaysia, we should consider reducing the GST in Sabah and Sarawak to about 4% or 5%,” its chairman Datuk Wong Khen Thau said.
