PETALING JAYA: Socialist groups have banded together to form the Malaysian Left Coalition (MLC) to push for a revamp of the country’s economic strategy.

Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) secretary-general S. Arutchelvan formally announced the setting up of the MLC on Wednesday, comprising political parties, NGOs, and prominent individuals.
