GEORGE TOWN: The enforcement action taken towards Line Clear on Monday was not intended to close the shop, said the Penang Municipal Council (MPPP).
MPPP president Datuk Patahiyah Ismail said that the action taken by confiscating the tables and chairs on Monday at the site was in accordance with the Hawkers by-law 1979.
