Shafee: FBI got it wrong, my client is not a triad member

PETALING JAYA: Alleged gambling kingpin Paul Phua Wei Seng is not a member of Hong Kong-based triad 14K and has been wrongly accused by the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation, lawyer Tan Sri Shafee Abdullah said.

“The FBI has wrongly accused our client of perhaps being a member of the 14K triad. The FBI has gotten inaccurate information,” the lawyer said at a press conference on Saturday.
