KUALA LUMPUR: An amendment to an Act allowing for an increase to the allowances of Members of Parliament, the Dewan Rakyat speaker and deputy speaker, and Dewan Negara president and deputy president, was tabled in Parliament on Wednesday.
The amendment was tabled by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim and will take effect from Jan 2015, if passed.
