Wee: Explain projects to villagers beforehand

TEMERLOH: Misunderstandings can be avoided if village safety and development committees (JKKK) hold explanation sessions for villagers before carrying out projects, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.

“Otherwise, the villagers will question why a ditch is being dug in front of their houses even though it is for flood mitigation and we will be hit left, right and centre with objections like what happened during the elections,” said Dr Wee during his visit to Kampung Suria in Mentakab here yesterday.
