Khalid to reveal details of water deal on Monday

PORT KLANG: Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid will make an announcement on Monday on details of the water deal inked between the state and Federal Government.

“I will have a briefing to explain all details with regard the water agreement signed between both parties and how the takeover of the concessionaires is going to take place,” he told reporters after handing out donations to Tamil schools here, Friday night.

Asked if the agreement signed between Selangor and Putrajaya would guarantee continuous supply of water for the people, Khalid said: “This will give us an opportunity to handle the water industry entirely.”

The state and Federal Government signed the master agreement on the water industry restructuring in Selangor on Friday.
