PETALING JAYA: From Malacca’s Padang Pahlawan to Kuala Lumpur’s Stadium Merdeka, it’s time to walk down memory lane and revisit some of our many historic Merdeka landmarks.

Once known as Padang Bandar Hilir, the historic location of Padang Pahlawan was where Tunku Abdul Rahman announced Malaya’s independence to an euphoric crowd of about 50,000 people after returning from independence negotiations in London.
