MACC arrests GLC manager for bribery amounting to RM1.7mil


PETALING JAYA: A manager of a government linked company (GLC) was arrested by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) for alleged bribery involving more than RM1.7mil for a workshop renovation project recently.

"The sales manager, in his 40s, had proposed family members and known associates as contractors for the workshop renovation project. MACC investigations revealed bribes worth more than RM1.7mil were involved," MACC director of investigation Datuk Mohd Jamidan Abdullah said in a statement issued to the media Wednesday.
