PETALING JAYA: The National Registration Department (NRD) has denied receiving any application from Zarena Abdul Majeed, the bride who was stopped by Jais officers midway through her Hindu wedding, to change her religious status or name.
Its director-general Datuk Sulaiman Keling said the department could find no such application or document submitted to change either her name or religious status.
