Abu Backer didn’t break any rules, says EC


GEORGE TOWN: Bukit Gelugor by-election independent candidate Abu Backer Sidek Mohamad Zan did not break any election rules when he leapt in front of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's car at the State Assembly on Tuesday, said Election Commission secretary Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh. 

It was reported in The Star  that Abu Backer, 46, threw himself in front of the chief minister's car, preventing him from leaving the State Assembly after the sitting.
