Government seeks to strike out Navin Moorty’s citizenship claim


KUALA LUMPUR: The Government is applying to strike out a suit filed by a student listed as a "non-citizen" in the National Registration Department's records even though he has a birth certificate and a passport.

Navin Moorty, who is of Malaysian-Filipino parentage, is seeking to be registered as a Malaysian citizen.
