Thieves fail to break into ATMs, burgle post office instead


KOTA BARU: A group of burglars, suspected to have failed in breaking into automatic teller machines (ATMs) in the Nilam Puri and Kubang Kerian areas here, broke into the Pos Malaysia office in Mulong here last Friday instead, making off with RM11,000 cash.

Kota Baru district police chief ACP Azham Othman said it was believed that the criminals broke into the post office at about 1.45am as police responded to its burglar alarm 15 minutes later.
