Five-year-old killed in fire


KOTA KINABALU: A five-year-old boy was killed after a fire swept through a house in a village in the interior Tenom district. Sabah Fire and Rescue Services Department spokesman Affendy Ramin said the char­red remains of Mohd Imel Abdullah were discovered in the living room of the gutted house at about 12.18am.

He said they were alerted about the blaze at about 11.47pm and firemen reached the scene in about 15 minutes.
