Three cops charged with extortion

KUALA LUMPUR: Three policemen were charged in a magistrate's court here for extorting money from three private firm employees by threatening them with arrest as their house was suspected of being be a drug 'port' (drug den).

Const Mohamad Salman Malzuki, Const Mohamad Fadir Manaf and auxiliary police Wan Mohamad Saiful Firdaus Wan Azmin were with another cop, still at large, allegedly extorted money from Emelda Sudirman, 33, Mohd Nadzri Abu Hassan Saari, 32, and Mohd Hafiz Abu Hanipah, 29.
