KUALA LUMPUR: A 29-year-old woman suffered severe burns after a vengeful boyfriend allegedly locked her in a burning flat unit at Desa Rejang, Setapak Jaya, Wangsa Maju.

A neighbour reportedly saw the man enter the flat unit early Tuesday morning while his girlfriend, identified as Sarliza Saidin was still inside with her 18-month-old baby and her 62-year-old mother.

It is learnt that he had locked the grill door from outside the unit before pouring petrol around it and igniting the fire.
