PETALING JAYA: Online market place mudah.my was the top local website in Malaysia with 2.264 million unique visitors in October, according to the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA).
Mudah came ahead of Maybank2u.com.my (2.188 million), Airasia.com (1.245 million) and Cimbclicks.com.my (1.090 million).
“Most of the top 10 (local) sites maintained their positions in October. The Star moved up to the fifth spot while Cari.com.my dropped to seventh. Within the top five, Maybank, CIMB and The Star all increased their monthly unique visitors,” the MDA statement said.
In a separate ranking for the top 30 web properties for Malaysia, Google sites ranked first with 10.426 million unique visitors.
MDA also revealed that Facebook had maintained its lead in the social media and blogging category, with 8.45 million unique viewers in October, reaching out to more than 71% of Malaysians on desktops.
Social media sites continue to be most popular among Malaysians.
“More than 82% of (Malaysian) online users visited a social media website in October,” the statement said.
