MIRI: There has been a sudden flare-up of blockades and protests in interior Baram district in northern Sarawak over the proposed Baram Dam project.
A local Barisan Nasional leader and an environmental activist confirmed that there were at least two groups of protesters - in Long Naah and Long Kesseh, the proposed site for the 1,000Mw Baram Dam.
