Tunku's daughter gets her master's degree in philosophy


KUALA LUMPUR: It was an auspicious occasion for both Universiti Malaya and Tunku Noor Hayati Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra, the daughter of Malaysia’s first Prime Minister and first chancellor of the university, when she received her master’s degree from the Regent of Perak, Raja Dr Nazrin Shah, who is also UM pro-chancellor.

Tunku Noor Hayati, 46, who did her master’s in philosophy programme at UM’s Institute for Postgraduate Studies, received her scroll at the university’s 52nd convocation ceremony, held for the second day, here, yesterday.
