KUALA LUMPUR: Slain cop Kpl Zal-Azri Abd Somad has been posthumously promoted to the rank sergeant, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
He said the policeman, who was bludgeoned to death with a brick during a tussle with a suspect during Ops Cantas Khas in Malacca on Monday, died a hero.
