DOSH: Formwork support failure a possible cause

GEORGE TOWN: The collapse of a section of one of the ramps at the Batu Maung interchange of the second Penang bridge could be due to a defect or failure of the formwork support.

Penang Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) director Mohd Anuar Embi said the department would not rule out this possibility. He said initial investigation by DOSH would focus on the failure of the support.
