KUALA LUMPUR: Former Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib announced Monday that he has joined PAS and vowed to campaign for the Islamic way of life that he said only PAS could lead the country to.

“I agreed to officially join PAS two days after nomination so as to dispel allegations that I am doing so to become a candidate or for a post and to give my support to the party,” he told reporters in a press conference at the PAS headquarters here.
