GE13: Sabah dissolves state assembly

KOTA KINABALU: Yang di-Pertuan Negri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin has given his consent for the dissolution of the 60-member Sabah state assembly, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.

Musa, who is Sabah Barisan Nasional chairman and Sabah Umno chief, disclosed this at a press conference in Sri Gaya, the Chief Minister's official residence,here shortly after his audience with Tun Juhar at Istana Negeri Wednesday.

Earlier in the morning, Musa chaired the last state cabinet meeting at Wisma Innoprise.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak called for the country's 13th general election Wednesday after getting the King's consent to dissolve Parliament.
