One MyKad, one number, two persons


KOTA KINABALU: A senior National Registration Department (NRD) officer acknowledged that at least 600 MyKad with the same number are being used by more than one person.

NRD headquarters' identity card division director Md Solehan Omar told the Royal Commission of Inquiry that while each individual should have a unique identity card number, there were, however, instances in Sabah of one identity card number being assigned to at least two people.
