No double standards practised on disabled athletes

There is no discrimination against Paralympic athletes in the matter of allowances and incentives – the amount given is based on competitive level, said Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek.

He said non-disabled athletes had to undergo a more difficult qualifying process for international sporting events, thus it was reasonable to offer them higher incentives and allowances.
