PETALING JAYA: It may be a flammable substance but methanol seldom catches fire, said Malaysian Institute of Chemistry president Datuk Dr Soon Ting Kueh.
“It is found in solvents and fuels and primarily used to make other chemicals. In compound form, it is harmless,” he added.
