Ministry to probe directive on teachers’ political leanings

KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry is investigating claims that the Tawau district education office had sent out a directive requiring headmasters to record the political leanings of teachers in their schools.

Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said he had forwarded the complaint by Tawau MP Chua Soon Boi to the ministry’s director-general for investigation.
