PETALING JAYA: Universiti Malaya (UM) is set to be given autonomy from the Higher Education Ministry this month.
UM vice-chancellor Prof Tan Sri Dr Ghauth Jasmon said the autonomy would allow the university flexibility in finance, administration and academic matters.
