More efficient waste management with Act

PUTRAJAYA: Solid waste management and public cleanliness will be handled more efficiently with the implementation of the Solid Waste Manage­ment and Public Cleansing Act, enforced on Sept 1.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said SWM Environment, Alam Flora Sdn Bhd and Environment Idaman Sdn Bhd – had been appointed to undertake the waste management in the peninsula except for Penang, Perak and Selangor.
