Car dealer rapped and told to return customer’s booking deposit

JOHOR BARU: A car dealer received more than he bargained for at the Consumer Claims Tribunal when the president ticked him off for his ignorance of the law and ordered him to return the booking deposit by a customer.

“Ignorance of the law is not an excuse,” tribunal president Mohd Nasrim Datuk Mohd Salleh told Genius Outlook Sdn Bhd representative Lee Keng Choo, 37, who had earlier told Mohd Nasrim he did not know the law.
