CHINA Press reported that a bank officer in her 20s, became RM2,500 poorer after she was made to believe that her online overseas boyfriend had sent her a diamond ring, US currency and a gold necklace as gifts.
Her boyfriend told her to deposit the money as he had to pay tax in order for her to collect the gifts.
