MIRI: A Second World War bomb that was found buried at Kampung Pasir Lutong, about 12km from here, has been detonated by the police bomb disposal unit.
Miri Police Chief ACP Jamaludin Ibrahim told Bernama yesterday that the unit detonated the 18-inch-long (0.4m) bomb at about 9am yesterday at a clearing near the abandoned Lutong airstrip.
