‘Kek lapis’ baker shows creative streak

KUCHING: Mariam Aren’s imagination knows no bounds when it comes to making the Sarawak kek lapis (layered cake).

The 40-year-old baker sells over 70 colourful patterns at her shop in Jalan Satok here and comes up with new kek lapis every year.
