KOTA KINABALU: At least seven rivers nationwide have been found to be extremely polluted and the main culprit appears to be raw sewerage flowing into these waterways.
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Senator Dauk Maznah Mazlan said a recent study on 184 rivers around the country found that four in Johor, two in Penang and one in Malacca were deemed to be "seriously polluted."
