KOTA KINABALU: At least 85 houses were damaged by strong winds triggered by the tail effects of Typhoon Mitag in the east coast Tawau district.
Apart from damaging the wooden houses and blowing off rooftops, the winds peaking speeds of up to 50km per hour also brought down trees and poles at about 10pm Thursday.
