THE Personal Data Protection Act is expected to be tabled in Parliament at the end of this year or early next year, said Deputy Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor.

“We agree that personal data can be misused or used to gain profit. Thus a personal data protection law is needed to ensure that the collection, usage and distribution of personal data is always controlled,” he said in reply to Dr Junaidy Abdul Wahab (BN – Batu Pahat).
