The National Solid Waste Management Department is barely a few months old, but its director-general Dr Nadzri Yahaya is already optimistic that things should start to look, and smell, better. 

NOW that the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Act 2007 has finally been passed by the Parliament in July, the National Solid Waste Management Department will have many busy months ahead.
