BUTTERWORTH: Since her husband died 10 years ago, Khatijah Karim has single-handedly raised her five children by selling chicken rice from a stall in Taman Selera Mergong at her Alor Star hometown in Kedah.
Khatijah, 49, operates the stall from 9am to midnight daily to make ends meet. She started her business with a capital of RM1,500 and earned a meagre RM350 a month back then.
