MALACCA: The state media complex which will house all media organisations will be completed by April 1, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam.

Mohd Ali said the RM10.7mil complex, built on a 1.33ha piece of land inside the Malacca International Trade Centre in Ayer Keroh, will be equipped with amenities of international standard.

“The complex includes office space, an auditorium, a press conference hall, studios, exhibition space, resource centre and commercial lots furnished with sophisticated communication tools,” Mohd Ali said after launching the Mesra Japerun programme in Durian Tunggal here on Sunday.

He said the complex was based on the media city concept in Dubai which is used as a multimedia learning and development hub.

The complex will also house a museum to showcase the industry’s history and achievements.
