First e-filing, now e-payment

PETALING JAYA: Taxpayers with access to the e-filing online tax system will now be able to submit their payments along with their 2006 BE/B return forms to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) electronically from today.  

A statement from the IRB said taxpayers with access to e-filing could send their payments via four banks which are using the Financial Process Exchange system. 

Taxpayers need to have Internet banking accounts with Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd, CIMB Bank (BCB account only), Hong Leong Bank Bhd or Public Bank Berhad.  

The statement said taxpayers should surf the board’s website at or the e-hasil website at and click on the e-bayaran icon. 

A service charge of 50 sen would be imposed for every transaction.
