KUCHING: Six cluster pepper estates in Sarawak will be developed and new ones opened in other states to significantly increase the country’s pepper production.
Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui said some 13,000ha of new pepper farms would be opened to raise the country’s annual production to 30,000 tonnes in 2010.
