SHAH ALAM: Bone fragments of a Mongolian model who was shot twice and her body blown to bits with explosives were found on a hill near the Empangan Tasik Subang here.

Forensic teams from Bukit Aman and the city police headquarters yesterday searched the hill about 3km from the main road leading to Kuala Selangor.

They found fragments of bones of 28-year-old Altantuya Shaariibuu, who is known as Anna, in a search that began at 9am and ended at 5pm.

The spot where the pieces of bones were found is only accessible by 4WD vehicles.

A police tracker-dog unit, a bomb disposal squad and city serious crime division officers assisted the forensic teams.

Another police team guarded the road leading to the crime scene and barred reporters and photographers from entering.

The forensic teams sped off from the scene when approached for comments.

Sources said Anna was shot in the head twice before explosives were taped to her body and detonated.
