Malaysia loses Davis Cup tie


NOUMEA, New Caledonia (AP) - Pacific Oceania won its Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Group II playoff 3-2 Sunday when Malaysia's Selvam Veerasingam retired with calf muscle cramps in the fifth and deciding match. 

Juan Langton was leading Veerasingam 6-2, 6-1, 4-5 when the Malaysian player was forced to retire.
