PENANG: It was a church wedding with a difference. While the bride looked lovely in her modern white gown and veil, most other women had turned up for the wedding in their sarung kebaya.
The mothers of the bride and groom – Christopher Chin, 34, and Joyce Wong, 29 – are both Penang nyonyas and had suggested a Peranakan church wedding.
