IPOH: For the past 20 years, residents of Persiaran Bukit Meru 11 and 12 have cherished having a tree-lined slope as their green belt at Meru Heights in Jelapang here.
On Monday, the residents were shocked to find workers cutting down some of the trees to make way for a double-storey bungalow.
