JOHOR BARU: Leave for the country's more than 12,000 firemen has been frozen in view of the growing numbers of opening burning cases nationwide.
The order came into effect on Wednesday as the Fire and Rescue Department is now attending to dozens of open burning cases involving rubbish and lalang as well as forests and plantations.
